Getting compliments for your make-up is something we ladies can't get over off at any age, but are you aware that the lipstick for which you are getting blushed for, and might be you are in rumor that it contains some argan oil or something which moisturises your lips, it contains PALM OIL, yes it does. Not just your favourite lipstick, even your foundation, blush, etc are made with MICA or some cheap ingredients like this. So there are 100% chances that your make-up bag is filled with these harmful and cheap stuff.
Have you ever heard the names like CRUELTY-FREE or VEGAN ?
Let me define you these with a brief description, a brand is said to be cruelty-free if it does not harm or kill animals for their testing of products or any sort of activities. Products tested on animals are not considered to be cruelty-free as these are painful and the reason of death of millions of animals every year. Vegan is considered to be something that does not contain any animal ingredient or animal-derived ingredient, honey, beeswax, gelatin, collagen, carmine, lanolin and similar are exceptional.
So it genuinely becomes important for us to know that the brands to which we are paying our thousands of bucks, really deserves it or not. Some of the famous brand like Maybelline, Lancome, Make Up For Ever, etc are unethical, not this even various luxe brands like MAC, Clinique, Chanel, Sephora brand also lies in the same category.

Some of the brands labelled that they are cruelty-free but there's a hidden clause "An exception could be made if authorities required it for human safety or regulatory purposes." For majority of the brands, their mainland is China and it's mandatory in the country that every foreign cosmetic brand has to test their products on animals , it is stated in the the law of China. It is really shocking that China govt. demand this, China is an increasingly market for many of the American and European cosmetic brands, there was sales of 26 billion in 2018-19 itself and the figures are increasing. Chinese law requires mandatory animal testing on the products which includes makeup, skin care, hair care, perfume, nail products, sunscreen, dyes, deodorant and whitening products. The animal testing only applies to the product which are physically sold in the country means it does not apply to online shopping.

In a global market it is important for all countries to ban animal testing for cosmetics to avoid testing simply moving around the world to countries with no effective laws. Animal tests are increasingly being replaced with quicker, cheaper and more reliable non-animal methods. These modern methods are more relevant to humans and have been found to predict human reactions better than the traditional outdated animal tests.Companies can prove their products are safe by using established ingredients. There are, for example, almost 20,000 ingredients in the European Union’s database for which safety data is available. Cosmetic manufacturers increasingly accept that animal experiments are unnecessary and those companies that still continue them damage the reputation of the industry. After New Zealand passed its ban in 2015, the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association said that they did not need animal tests, adding, "There might be some perception that we are actually testing within New Zealand so it's actually in the best interests of the exporting industry that we have a ban."
